Sabah Urban Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SUDC), incorporated in 1972 is a wholly owned subsidiary and property development arm of Sabah Economic Development Corporation. SUDC has been an important player in property development activities in Sabah over the last 44 years. Its development portfolio covers a wide spectrum, which includes:
+ Residential and satellite townships
+ Urban and rural commercial properties
+ Properly planned industrial estates, and
+ Tourism resorts and hotels.
SUDC’s notable residential developments include Marina Court Condominiums in Kota Kinabalu, the first condominium project in Tawau called Kuhara Court Condominium and in Kota Kinabalu projects like Taman Milek, Lok Kawi Heights and Kingfisher Park.
Within the commercial sector, SUDC is the proud pioneer for the development of over 40 rural townships throughout Sabah whereby the shops are fondly referred to as “Kedai SEDCO”. SUDC developed Eastern Plaza the first shopping complex in Tawau; Darvel Bay Plaza another first of its kind in Lahad Datu; numerous commercial development in Kota Kinabalu such as Damai Commercial Centre, Sedco Complex, Kompleks Asia City, Star City Complex, Kingfisher Park Commercial Centre and LKH Galleria at Lok Kawi.
SUDC has successfully developed Likas and Lok Kawi industrial estates in the city as well as some major towns in Sabah namely, Sandakan, Tawau, Lahad Datu, and Keningau.
In supporting Sabah’s growing tourism industry, SUDC has undertaken several hotel developments such as Ming Garden Hotel & Residences in Kota Kinabalu and Promenade Hotel Tawau.
