A Seminar On Quality Management System (MS 1900 : 2005) : "Requirement From Islamic Perspective" will be held in Kota Kinabalu on May 11 this year. The seminar is organised by Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) in collaboration with SIRIM QAS International, Malaysia Islamic Chamber Of Commerce and Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS).

The main objective of the seminar is to create understanding on the importance, requirement and application of syariah compliant management system in business operation. It is also aimed at promoting awareness on the benefits and business advantages for an MS 1900 : 2005 - certified organisation.

The seminar is open to Corporate Bodies, Companies, Goverment Agencies, Business Chambers, Entrepreneurs, Policy Makers, Consultants, Academicians and University Students. MS 1900 : 2005 is a Halal standard that promotes the practice of universally acceptable Islamic values in the working enviroment of a company or organisation. It also includes compliance of syariah aspects in all processes in the delivery of services or products.
