Bumiputera graduates aspiring to set up own business are invited to participate in the Graduate Entrepreneur Development Scheme (Skim Pembangunan Usahawan Siswazah or SPUS) which has opened application for 2010 intake until March 31, 2010.
Only twenty applicants will be selected to undergo the training program which will be conducted in Kota Kinabalu beginning mid May until mid July. Accommodation, meals and course allowance will be provided. Introduced in 2003, SPUS offers an opportunity for university leavers to obtain further knowledge and skills in business management and entrepreneurship through an intensive 2-month training module that culminates with submission of a business plan. Participants with viable business plan will be given recommendation to acquire financing to carry out their intended ventures. Applicant must be a permanent resident of Sabah, aged between 18 to 45 years old. Application form can be obtained from SEDCO Office (8th Floor, Wisma SEDCO); Pusat Bimbingan Usahawan Negeri Sabah (PBUNS) at Kg Air, Kota Kinabalu; and all MARA offices statewide.
