Padu Wangsa Sdn Bhd ( SEDCO Equity : 51% )
In line with the policy to promote resource-based industry, Padu Wangsa Sdn Bhd was set up in 1994 to manufacture and supply clinker for the local cement industry. Raw materials will be sourced from Balambangan Island in northern Sabah while the plant will be integrated with the existing cement plant in Sepangar Bay to ensure a more efficient operation and provide competitive advantage. Once operational, it will produce 1 million metric tons of clinker per annum. Windsor Trade Sdn. Bhd. ( SEDCO Equity : 20% ) Windsor Trade Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1997 with principal activities in import & export businesses, trading and as an investment holding company. Windsor Trade would undertake the development of the RM315m Sandakan Integrated Trade Exchange Terminal (SITExT) that would serve as a logistic and trade hub to cater to the substantial regional trade between Sabah, Southern Philippines, Sulawesi and Kalimantan. SITExT’s main components include a deepwater wharf and jetty, bunkering facilities, dedicated grain terminal, passenger ferry terminal, CIQ complex, hotel and retail outlets, and shopping mall. |
